Prism shaped crystals, soluble in water but actually insoluble in benzene, chloroform, and ether. Decompose in ethanol. Slightly chlorine scented, gradually loses moisture in dry air, and decomposes into chlorine when exposed to air.

[Usage]

*Used in the pharmaceutical industry for the preparation of sterilizers, determination of sulfonamide drugs, and indicators;

*Chloramine-T is an external disinfectant that has a killing effect on bacteria, viruses, fungi, and spores. Its working principle is that the solution produces hypochlorous acid and releases chlorine, which has a slow and long-lasting bactericidal effect and can dissolve necrotic tissue;

*Suitable for disinfecting drinking water utensils, food, various utensils, fruits and vegetables, as well as washing wounds and mucous membranes.
